Our home was built in 1909 by a prominent Hays Entrepreneur and Carpenter, Justus Bissing Jr. Much of his amazing architectural work can be seen around historic Hays. After living in the home for a few years, he then sold the home to the Basgall family. The Basgall family loved and cared for the home for over 80 years.
Our home is filled with antiques that we have luckily inherited from the Basgall family, original to the house. The house then served several years as a formal Bed and Breakfast called the Tea Rose Inn and then as a much favored AirBnb location known as The Inn at 117. This is now our home and we would love to share it with you! Each suite is named after a historic figure tied to the house with a history binder relating to that person/family.
