Description: Property is in a rural area with lots of trees and wildlife. The house is an 8,000 sq ft oak log home, in a decorating style in which anyone will feel at home. There is a stocked pond behind the house, we have numerous domestic ducks who enjoy the water. We have canoes and a paddle boat for guests to use. There is a large meeting room for receptions, group meetings, etc. We have a 6 bedroom, 3 bath house that is not part of the B&B, but is available for larger groups on a nightly basis, it can also be used as overflow for a larger group. Also on the property is the former home of Don Brownlee. The Brownlee family was early settlers to this part of KS and were instrumental in early Kansas society and politics. The house is a museum and a tribute to Don, housing much of his art work, a working pipe organ, secret rooms, passageways and doors. Tours are free to guests. Also on the property is an alpaca ranch, we specialize in the Suri Alpaca and have over 100 head. Guests can interact with the animals, and involve themselves with as much of that operation as they like. Group rates are available.
